Robertson Davies: 104th Birthday Anniversary

Today is Robertson Davies’s 104th birthday anniversary. He is my all-time favorite author. If you haven’t checked him out before, I encourage you to do it. It’s worth your time.

His book The Manticore was the most challenging book of his I ever read. It was filled with Jungian psychology and hidden depths. It was a hard read at the time, but it made me think quite differently about psychology when I was done, and it stuck with me afterwards.
If you haven’t read Davies, you should probably start with the first book in this “Deptford” trilogy, Fifth Business, before this one. But this book really filled out the back story for the trilogy. A worthy read.
