A truly harrowing version of the Elvis Presley classic, Velvet Underground style. I didn’t know about it either until I watched Kid Congo Powers present it as a choice in his “What’s In My Bag” video for Amoeba Music. This is my second suggestion I’ve used from Amoeba; the first was from Melvins. I’m going to have to watch their selections a lot more from now on.
